designer’s statement _

Coming from an academic background of history and English literature, I view each design project as an opportunity for revolutionizing the everyday experience. What I value most in design is rethinking how we occupy, perceive, and utilize space. I’m interested in pushing and redrawing the boundaries to change our behavior and our habits. My experience working in residential design has taught me that I get just as excited about the details as I do about the big picture. And while I have always been appreciative of the historic environment, my master’s degree in Historical and Sustainable Architecture has ignited a passion for adaptive reuse projects and strategizing about hwo to conserve the past for a better collective future.
